There is a line

… and sometimes you just don’t cross it. Last year I wrote a tool that takes a TrueType font and converts it to an image and data file so that the in-game fonts of Jedi Academy can be replaced. About a month ago, a guy couldn’t get it to work, so I had him send it to me and I converted it and explained why it didn’t work. Last night another hapless end-user just sent me a font and asked me to convert it …

Is it me, or didn’t I write the tool so that people could do the conversion themselves? If there’s an error or bug, fine, let me know, and if I am so stalwart as to ask you to send me a copy so that I can attempt to reproduce the bug myself, go ahead and send it on up, but outside of that, a free tool is a free tool – and I’m not the tool.

I feel bad since I’ve always tried to give my end-user’s my best, but right now I’m strapped for time, and I need to concentrate on the most important things.

Aside from that, I’ve been sick, tired, and cranky.

My cholesterol is high, my sugar levels are high (probably because I’m a fat bastard), my … fat is high … I need to lose weight, in a bad way.
