I’ve finished reading up through volume 28 of Berserk, which is made available thanks to the efforts of The Band of the Hawks. Volume 29 comes out next month.
I thought it would be pretty hard to read a mango, since … everything usually gets all mumbled and jumbled on a comic book page, and in mangas, it’s backwards to boot (start at the top left panel, read bubbles from left to right.) I really, really like Berserk, though. My favorite moment is long after the eclipse, when Berserk has his new companions and they come to a place where many armies are gathered to fight a war, and his companions start talking about the Band of the Hawk (since Guts is a quiet guy, they don’t know that he was the Hawks’ Raid Leader,) and the kid that is following Guts around asks, were you a mercenary once?
Guts says he doesn’t remember. And Caska, she’s been crazy the whole time these people have known her, and have no idea that she’s a bad-ass warrior, just like Guts.
There’s also a pretty bad-ass game for the PS2 that was never released in the US.
It was released for the Dreamcast. Daxero had it.
They appear to be separate games.
They are separate games. I have (actually) Sword of the Berserk: Guts Rage, and there is another game made for PS2 which friend of mine from work has. I haven’t seen it but he insists, it’s very sweet.
BTW, how do you download the Manga, I would be very happy to read such good manga…
Berserk Manga is emphatically not for, well, anyone. The fact that Wudan read it likely means he has gone insane now.
Thanks a lot for the spoiler, Wudan.
