Speaking of things Ju-On related, I thought I might share my new wallpwper with you:

I actually get terrified to click the ‘Show Desktop’, but I think eventually the pain and fear will subside.

“The Grudge is the curse of one who dies in the grip of a powerful rage.” Well, I’m telling you, if I had died this afternoon, there would have been some kind of paranormal actvity in my driveway later on.

I came home to find the area between the driveway and the house nicely weeded, excepting for the giant onion plant and the collosal crop of mint plants growing there. Ah, my dear mother-in-law has come to visit.

Oh wait, she destroyed the 2 specimens of grass, the group of lambs-ear, and the dandelion growing in there. Gee whiz. I’m really trying to refrain from using the F word at this point, but what gives?

Those plants survived the August heat! They survived because I watered them. Sure they needed to be weeded but man am I pissed.

So yeah, I yelled at my mother-in-law. I’ve told her not to touch anything when she’s at our house and she does anyway.

The thing that chaps this whole entire thing is that I was the one who called my father-in-law and asked him to come over for breakfast. I did that because he needs to eat and we always have extra food. Now, I really don’t care if he comes over. He just lets my stupid mother-in-law come over and screw up everything, sits on the couch and doesn’t do anything.

I am getting angry just thinking about it.

This has really screwed up my whole entire day. She destroyed something I had done, and it saps my will to do anything at all. Why even try, if somebody is going to just come along and screw it up? Why bother? Why try to do anything at all?

I think you know what word I want to say right now.

Ok, in a ploy to post more often than theorb77, Here’s another post:

So today I woke up and made Silver Dollar Pancakes; they were a little tart to the taste when they were plain, but heavenly goodness when a slight bit of maple syrup was used on them. They’re lots less sugary than regular pancakes by my estimation, and they’re lots smaller and take longer to cook (on account of them being so small.)

When I have the money to spend on it, I’m going to get an electric griddle. I figure, cooking those little babies on that, maybe 8 at a time, would be TONS more effective with a lower casualty rate. I burned myself on the side of the pan, my poor pinky finger.

Well, hopefully we’re going to catch The Grudge today, I’m looking forward to it. Then, it’s off to the work place. Yipee!

Michael Moore was in Utah today. I have to beleive he has some sense of self-preservation and has since fled. Well, his speech wasn’t all that informative, it was mostly about his right to speak and it was basically a pow wow. Somewhere in there, he encouraged people to vote and hopes that Utah will vote democratic in next months election.

Well, it was a political rally, to say the least. Neither Bush nor Kerry will stop here for campaigning – Utah isn’t a swing state, we’re going straight to Bush. Someday, that’ll change, but I don’t think it’ll change RIGHT NOW. The younger generations here are also ignorant, for the most part, but I’d say that Utah will go Democratic within 2 decades.

Anyway, it did make me feel reassured that at least some people out there (outside of Utah) won’t be voting for Bush. This man is complete garbage.

No, I don’t think the solution will be to replace him with another rich white man who could care less about any of my interests, but I certainly don’t want 4 more years of ridicule on the international level.

The Bush machine is republican politics at its absolute finest. Think about it – we goddamn impeached Clinton for having sex and lying about it, but a Republican controlled Congress doesn’t bat an eye at Bush for lying LEFT AND RIGHT, and dodging the issues we care about.

They beleive that America is at it’s most easily manipulated state: we’re fat, lazy, and don’t want to take the time to educate ourselves. Our media has failled us; our system has failled us; our President has failled us.

I don’t think it will matter if I vote this November: but goddamnit if the Republicans take Utah it shall not be without a fight!

Did I mention that Michael Moore came to Utah today?

They had a BBQ at work today, it was really cool. The food made me feel really good.

The quest to find a Halloween costume for the youngling has proven to be most difficult. He’s in to Star Wars right now, which is cool I guess.

I’m pretty bummed lately, days pass through my hands like sand, and I find myself wanting to be near my beloved Sukie.

Well, anyway. Life is pretty much the same as usual. I’m wondering what Net+ book to get so I can study with theorb. He pretty much knows his stuff, and lately I’ve been feeling slow and stupid so I needs to get up on that.

I guess sometime in the last day or few, DNS changed and blogger hasn’t caught on. I wasn’t able to upload the last post and it was really frustrating. I finally used my leet tech skills and pimped a workaround in to the solution.

Antigone’s mom (we really should come up with a good nickname for her, if she hasn’t one already – she’s showing up on the blogs a lot more often) stated something very true the other day (as she does so fairly often), and I wanted to stress the importance of what she said:

Theorb77 is a really good writer. I imagine, in some sense, that his browsing ex-coworkers keep visiting his site for 2 key reasons: 1) he has keen writing, regardless of the occasional outburst of emotion and oppinion, and 2) he writes OFTEN, which is hard to do when you’re such a perfectionist. Still, writing is like a caged bird – if you let it go, it’ll probably poop on something you care about down the road. Well, anyway, I wanted to tell you, he really is a talented writer. His writing is like his handwriting, it’s very determined and focussed. I mimicked his blocky capitals as a youngster and I think in someways my writing mimicks his writing – I’m a little more funky and off-the-wall 🙂

I think theorb77 is much more skilled at crafting tales than I am, but I’m working on that. Lucas has me working over time making stories up for him at night.

Sigh. One more thing I miss about having an evening with my family.

I think I’m progressing as a person. I realized the other day that this is the year of the monkey – my year, and that this year has been one of the biggest of my life. I’ve made a lot of personal decisions, changed a lot of my own attitudes, and I’m determined to make something out of the skills that I’ve got.

Right now though I’m determined to make lunch out of the corn dog I just cooked. Yum.

I’m actually excited to go to Logan tomorrow and move theorb77’s stuff. For one, I enjoy roadtrips with Sukie (mostly because she drives!) Also, because then theorb77 will be living down in SLC! Mwahahaha, all my plans are moving along smoothly!

Anyway, my OTHER plans (read: my programming projects) are coming along nicely also – I have a 90% functional animation creation/playback tool, as well as my terrain/RTS program which I’m working at writing an Octree system for. Basically, soon I can make a really bitchin’ game 🙂

I took the whole weekend off, w00t 🙂 Sunday == Dim Sum! Who’s w/ me!?

Ok, I felt down yesterday, but after 10+ hours of sleep, I feel UP.

theorb77 is not feeling up today, and that sucks. Maybe he needs to play some more Fatal Frame. My heart goes out to him, he’s having a really rough week. Tomorrow I have my Western History final. That’s always fun.

Anyway, I just wanted y’all to know I’m on the ups.
